Bandits Kill Community Health Officer, Two Police and Three Civilians, Burn Health Centre in Zamfara
Armed bandits invaded Yarkatsinan Laka community in Bungudu LGA of Zamfara State on April 9. Riding over 50 motorcycles and carrying sophisticated weapons, they killed a Community Health Officer, two police officers and three civilians. They also set ablaze the local primary health centre. The Police Strike Unit swiftly engaged the assailants, neutralizing eleven bandits. One police officer was wounded and is now receiving treatment and responding positively. Commissioner of Police Ahmad Muhammad Bello visited the community to offer condolences and assured residents of the command’s commitment to restoring lasting peace. He urged the public to continue providing credible and timely information to support security efforts.
