James Norman Mattis, known as the “Warrior Monk,” is a retired four-star Marine Corps general and former US Secretary of Defense. He holds numerous military and civilian honors and is the author of Warriors & Citizens and Call Sign Chaos. Now 75 and single, Mattis is estimated to have a net worth of $7–10 million. He remains influential through board roles and public speaking.
