IGP Disu Declares End of Impunity, Orders Officers to Uphold Discipline

The Inspector General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has issued a stern warning to officers against professional misconduct that tarnishes the Force. During his visit to the Edo State Police Command, he condemned the recent shooting of a suspect in Delta State and the extortion of residents in Port Harcourt. He declared that the era of impunity is over. Disu revealed that the officer involved in the Delta incident and those arrested for extortion have been recommended for dismissal and face prosecution. He urged all personnel to embrace discipline and professionalism to restore public confidence. The Edo State Commissioner of Police also highlighted recent successes against kidnapping and armed robbery and appealed for additional operational support.
