Tinubu Appoints Ibrahim Ida as CAC Chairman, Nominates Seven NPC Commissioners

President Bola Tinubu has named former Senator Ibrahim Ida as Chairman of the Corporate Affairs Commission. The announcement was made by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy. Ida holds an MSc in Banking and Finance from the University of Ibadan and an LLB from the University of Abuja. He previously served as Commissioner of Finance in Katsina State, Permanent Secretary in the Federal Civil Service, and Senator for Katsina Central. In the same announcement, seven nominees were sent to the National Assembly for confirmation as commissioners of the National Population Commission. The list includes Kolawole Oladipupo Alabi, Nasiru Mu’azu, Usman Abubakar Tuggar, Dr Isaka Alada Yahaya, Prof Sadiq Isah Radda, Suleiman Umar and Hon. Chiso Abdullahi Dattijo. President Tinubu also appointed Dr Yusuf Mohammed as Chairman of the Federal Polytechnic, Kaltungo, and confirmed Bala Bello as Special Adviser on Political Economy. The presidency expressed confidence that these appointments will advance the administration’s agenda and improve Nigerians’ welfare.
