Gunmen Ambush Kills Federal University Student in Plateau
Gunmen ambushed two young men at the entrance of Dum Village in Riyom LGA on Monday night. They opened fire, killing 29-year-old Badung Sunday Alamba, a 300-level student of the Federal University of Education, Pankshin. His friend Dachomo Habila escaped unharmed. Alamba was his mother’s only child, community member Dung Elisha confirmed. Rwang Tengwong, National Publicity Secretary of the Berom Youth Moulders-Association, condemned the attack as a premeditated, barbaric assault on innocent civilians. He called for a thorough investigation and urged security agencies to bring the perpetrators and their sponsors to justice. Tengwong also appealed for stronger protection around Berom communities in Riyom, Barkin Ladi, and Jos South LGAs. The Plateau State Police Command has not yet responded for comment.
