Sokoto Troops Rescue 22 Kidnapping Victims in Two Separate Raids
Troops from Joint Task Force Northwest Operation FANSAN YAMMA have freed 22 people abducted by terrorists in Sokoto State. In the first raid along the Sabon Birni–Shinkafi Road at Kura Mota Village, soldiers acted on credible intelligence. With aerial support, they chased away the attackers, recovered 17 hostages, and prevented further harm after one civilian was killed. A second operation in Chohi Village, Isa LGA, repelled an attack on farmers. Troops pursued the assailants, rescued five abducted farmers, and reunited them with their families. Following the rescues, forces conducted patrols in Gidan Rana and Gidan Sale villages. The Military says it will continue denying terrorists freedom of action and securing communities across the Northwest.
