Plateau Lawmaker Denounces ‘Barbaric’ Attack in Angwan Rukuba
Hon. Adamu Aliyu of the Plateau State House of Assembly has condemned the brutal Sunday attack in Angwan Rukuba, Jos North. He described the killings by unidentified gunmen as “senseless, cowardly, and a direct assault on the peace-loving people of our area.” He offered condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the swift recovery of the injured. The lawmaker urged security agencies, including the police and the military, to investigate promptly, apprehend the perpetrators, and bring them to justice. He appealed to youths and residents to remain calm and avoid reprisals. He also commended the state government’s 48-hour curfew to restore order and reaffirmed his commitment to working with authorities for better security architecture in Jos North.
