Prepare for the Day When Buying and Selling Is Forbidden

Prepare for the Day When Buying and Selling Is Forbidden

“And no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark…” (Revelation 13:17). A time is coming when faithfulness to God’s law will cut off all earthly commerce. Those who honor the Sabbath and refuse to accept the mark of the beast will face restriction from ordinary trade. In that final conflict, religious powers will appear gentle like a lamb but act with the heart of a dragon. True commandment-keepers will see every source of support removed. Let us be faithful with the talents God has entrusted to us, investing in the spread of truth rather than hoarding wealth. If our love for Christ burned as it did in the early church, we would sacrifice freely for His cause. May we work earnestly and unselfishly today, preparing souls for that great day when Christ returns.

How do you think believers will manage daily needs when commerce shuts down for those refusing the mark of the beast?

Are you picturing a fully centralized ban, or do you expect local groups to find workarounds?

The idea of a global ban on buying and selling seems extreme, but such warnings have appeared in scripture for centuries.

I am not convinced the mark is literal commerce restriction; some see it as spiritual allegiance rather than physical trading control.

It might help to establish local faith-based barter networks now, honoring Sabbath and sharing resources before any trade restrictions arrive.
