When Ogbakha Edo Lost Its Way: A Founder’s Challenge to Partisanship
Ogbakha Edo began as a non-partisan platform for Benin culture and unity. Today it risks becoming a tool for narrow political interests, issuing empty threats over party primaries that betray its founding purpose. This sudden outrage at candidate “imposition” rings hollow. The same voices once celebrated and funded impositions in 2016 and 2020. Principle has not changed—only convenience. By posturing as a moral authority, the organisation undermines its credibility and invites ridicule. True regional advocacy demands integrity, not hypocrisy dressed up as cultural defence.
