Governor Ododo Orders Safe Evacuation of Kogi Students from Jos

Governor Ododo Orders Safe Evacuation of Kogi Students from Jos

Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has directed the immediate evacuation of indigenes studying at the University of Jos. Students have been asked to vacate hostels and campuses for their own safety. This order follows recent attacks in parts of Plateau State that have claimed lives and heightened insecurity. Authorities say the measure is necessary to protect vulnerable students, especially those living off-campus. Governor Ododo’s Special Adviser on Youth and Student Matters has been deployed to Jos with a delegation. They are overseeing a secure and orderly evacuation in collaboration with relevant agencies. The governor praised the swift intervention of the president and security forces. He reassured parents and guardians that the safety and welfare of Kogi students remain a top priority.
