Matawalle Says New Military Salary Structure Will Boost Troop Morale

Minister of State for Defence Bello Matawalle has welcomed President Bola Tinubu’s approval of a new salary structure for members of the Nigerian Armed Forces. He said improved pay would strengthen troop morale, professionalism and operational readiness as personnel continue counter-terrorism, anti-banditry, anti-kidnapping and anti-oil theft operations. Matawalle urged service chiefs, commanders and other personnel to repay the government’s confidence with discipline, loyalty and renewed commitment to protecting Nigerians.
