David Jonsson Reportedly Cast as T’Challa’s Son in Black Panther 3
Marvel Studios reportedly introduced British actor David Jonsson as Prince T’Challa II, also known as Toussaint, during its San Diego Comic-Con presentation on 25 July 2026. The character is the son of T’Challa and Nakia, first seen as a child in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The report says Jonsson will lead Black Panther 3 as the character comes of age and embraces his Wakandan heritage. Ryan Coogler is expected to direct the film, which is slated for release in December 2028. Jonsson, who has Nigerian, Sierra Leonean, Caribbean and Swedish roots, is known for Industry, Rye Lane and Alien: Romulus. Fans have welcomed the casting, with many praising the emotional significance of continuing T’Challa’s legacy.
