A 2018 legal opinion from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions under the Attorney-General of the Federation reviewed the interim police report on the April 2018 Offa bank robbery. It concluded investigators found no evidence linking then Senate President Bukola Saraki to criminal conspiracy, armed robbery or culpable homicide. The AGF’s office emphasized there was no departure from earlier findings that had already cleared him of involvement.
