15 Killed, 25 Injured as Buses Collide and Catch Fire on Niger Road
Fifteen travellers died and 25 others were injured in a crash involving two buses on the Enagi-Mokwa Road in Niger State. The Federal Road Safety Corps said the buses, which were travelling in the same direction, collided on Saturday evening and caught fire. The injured victims were taken to the Federal Medical Centre, Bida, and the General Hospital in Kutigi. The FRSC attributed the crash to speeding and wrongful overtaking at a bend, urging motorists to obey speed limits and avoid dangerous overtaking.
