England Chase Bronze Medal in World Cup Clash with France

England Chase Bronze Medal in World Cup Clash with France

England aim to end a 60-year wait for a World Cup medal when they face France in the third-place play-off this Saturday. The Three Lions fell 2-1 to Argentina in the semi-finals in Atlanta and now turn their focus to securing bronze. A win over Les Bleus would put England on the podium for the first time since lifting the trophy at home in 1966. France arrive fresh from a 2-0 defeat to Spain in their semi-final. England manager Thomas Tuchel admitted his side are still hurting from the loss to Argentina but insists they must learn and move on. He took responsibility for tactical calls that could not prevent a late comeback. Despite criticism, Tuchel remains confident his team will respond positively and close the gap on the world’s leading nations. Meanwhile, defending champions Argentina and European champions Spain prepare to contest the final in East Rutherford.

I no believe England go dominate Les Bleus just because they crave that bronze after a long medal drought.

Securing bronze still requires England to sharpen set-piece routines and maintain midfield control under France's pace and physicality.
