Pregnant Woman Dies After Street Fight in Abuja, Police Launch Investigation

The FCT Police Command has opened a probe into a suspected culpable homicide after a heavily pregnant woman lost her life following a clash with another woman on May 31. According to preliminary findings, the victim began bleeding during the altercation and was rushed to Wuse General Hospital, where medical staff confirmed her death. Police spokesperson SP Josephine Adeh confirmed that the suspect, identified as Grace Kasimu, has been arrested and is in custody. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further action and the inquiry is ongoing.
