Enugu Governor Celebrates 13-Year-Old STEM Olympiad Champion
Governor Peter Mbah hosted 13-year-old Chimdiebube Onwubiko at the Government House, Enugu, to honour his outstanding performance at the International STEM Olympiad in Rome. Onwubiko, a JSS 3 student at Evergreen College, won gold in Mathematics and silver in Science against competitors from 54 countries. The governor praised his dedication, discipline and the role of his teachers in achieving global recognition. The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to quality education through initiatives like Smart Green Schools. He encouraged the young scholar to sustain his passion and aim for even greater heights. In recognition of this achievement, Governor Mbah awarded ₦2 million to Chimdiebube, ₦2 million to his Mathematics teacher, Chisom Unachukwu, and ₦1 million to Evergreen College.
