Abuja Chef Arrested for Drugging Residents and Stealing ₦150M in Valuables
The Nigeria Police Force has arrested a chef in Abuja for his alleged role in drugging homeowners and stealing cash and twenty luxury wristwatches valued at ₦150 million. Investigators say the suspect trained in Cotonou before securing work as a chef in the targeted residence. He is accused of studying the security routine and lacing meals with a sedative to incapacitate occupants and guards. Once the food took effect, his accomplices disabled the CCTV, ransacked the home and made away with valuables. Police intercepted them near Gwagwalada while en route to Lagos, recovering watches, an iPhone and a suspected chemical substance now pending forensic analysis. The Force Intelligence Department remains committed to tackling organised crime and ensuring all involved face justice.
