Ogun Police Recover Stolen Toyota Camry, Arrest Armed Robbery Suspect in Ajuwon

Ogun State Police teams have recovered a stolen Toyota Camry and arrested a robbery suspect after a swift response to an armed break‐in in Ajuwon. According to the police public relations officer, hoodlums invaded a residence in Baale Akinosi area on July 2. They made off with phones, jewellery, a laptop and the Camry before officers pursued them. The suspects abandoned the vehicle as police closed in. One suspect, Israel Salako, was arrested and is assisting investigators. Efforts continue to track down other gang members and return stolen items. The commissioner of police praised the operation and urged motorists to use only registered vehicles from designated parks. Residents are reminded to report suspicious activity and share travel details with trusted contacts.

It's surprising armed robbers chose a Baale Akinosi residence for a break-in, yet local response time led to swift recovery and arrest.

That recovery is good, but reacting after the invasion misses the bigger goal of preventing armed break-ins in the first place.

Consider installing motion sensors and community watch groups to respond faster and deter armed intruders around residential areas in Ogun State.
