Police Arrest Man for Possessing Stolen Human Skull in Osun

Police Arrest Man for Possessing Stolen Human Skull in Osun

The Osun State Police have launched an investigation into alleged conspiracy and unlawful possession of a human skull after a family grave was disturbed. On 17 June 2026, a complainant reported at Oba-Ile Police Station that unknown individuals had exhumed his late brother’s skull from the family compound. Acting on credible intelligence, officers arrested 40-year-old Ogunsola Ojo, who named two other suspects already in custody and a fourth still at large. A subsequent search of an unfinished building near the fugitive’s home led to the recovery of the skull. The item was documented and registered as an exhibit. Investigators are continuing efforts to apprehend the remaining suspect before charging the arrested individuals in court.
