Missing NYSC Member Reportedly Found Dead in Bayelsa as Police Investigate
Okebaram Stanley Chimaroke, a 27-year-old NYSC member serving in Nembe, Bayelsa State, has reportedly been found dead after he was declared missing. Authorities have not officially confirmed the reported recovery of his body or the circumstances surrounding his death. Chimaroke, a Civil Engineering graduate and former Student Union Government president at the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, was posted to Nembe Creek in Nembe Local Government Area. He was last seen at about 8 p.m. on July 24, 2026. A fellow corps member reported his disappearance to the police on July 25 after repeated attempts to reach him by phone failed. Police operatives began a search in the creek community and say investigations are ongoing.
