Police Arrest Seven Suspects After Violent Midnight Raid in Katsina
Katsina State Police Command has detained seven men believed to be part of an armed robbery gang that stormed a residence in Unwala Quarters around 2 a.m. on June 19. The attackers forced their way in with cutlasses and clubs, fleeing with two motorcycles, seven phones and other valuables. An intelligence-led operation led to the arrest of Sulaiman Sabo (aka Labule), Muhammad Aminu, Muhammad Yahaya, Muhammad Daddy, Aliyu Kabir, Musa Kabir and Ahmad Usman. Officers also recovered five of the stolen phones, two power banks, cutlasses, a pinch bar and master keys at locations linked to the suspects. During questioning, the suspects admitted their roles and identified four other accomplices at large. The police commissioner praised the prompt response of his team and urged residents to share any information that could help end crime in the state. The arrested individuals will be charged once investigations conclude.
