OPHK Troops Arrest Terror Suspects and Drug Peddlers, Rescue Two Abducted Children

Joint Task Force North East under Operation HADIN KAI has arrested three suspected terrorists and a known Boko Haram/ISWAP informant in Yobe State. Troops recovered phones, illicit substances and other items before handing the suspects over to the appropriate authorities. In Adamawa State, five suspected drug peddlers were arrested with ammunition during a night operation near Mubi. All suspects are now in custody for further investigation. Troops and members of the Civilian Joint Task Force responded to a distress call in Madagali, rescuing 12-year-old Barnabas Apagu and 10-year-old Ruth Apagu. Efforts continue to free other abducted persons still in captivity. Meanwhile, soldiers deployed in the Kukareta area of Yobe State safely secured a hand grenade abandoned by fleeing terrorists.

Handing these suspects over feels too routine without public transparency on legal proceedings or charges brought against them.
