FCMB Launches ₦20bn Fund for Nigerian Healthcare Businesses
FCMB has launched a ₦20 billion healthcare fund to provide affordable, long-term financing for private healthcare businesses in Nigeria. The fund will support hospitals, clinics, diagnostic centres, pharmacies, pharmaceutical companies, maternity homes and other operators. It can be used for expansion, medical equipment, infrastructure, working capital and health technology. The initiative is intended to help close the funding gap facing healthcare providers and support Nigeria’s drive to increase local production of medicines and medical devices. FCMB will also offer advisory support and work with the Healthcare Federation of Nigeria to help facilities meet investment and governance standards. Government officials at the Lagos summit said increased public and private investment is needed to expand primary healthcare, diagnostics, pharmaceutical manufacturing and medical infrastructure nationwide.
