Apply for $2,000 Grants to Boost Community Climbing Projects
The Global Climbing Initiative is accepting applications for its 2026 Economic Development Grants programme. Community-led climbing projects can receive up to $2,000 to promote sustainable economic growth through jobs, tourism and local business support. Eligible initiatives must be located outside the continental United States or be led by Indigenous communities within the US. Projects should demonstrate clear economic benefits, community leadership and a strong link to indoor or outdoor climbing activities. Funding can cover guide training, certification programmes, social enterprises, community climbing festivals and other initiatives that stimulate employment and responsible tourism. Proposals will be assessed on sustainability, feasibility and long-term impact. Apply by July 24, 2026 with your project objectives, implementation plan, budget breakdown and expected economic outcomes. Successful applicants will implement approved projects over a six-month period.
