Police Confirm Release of Jezco Oil Chairman, Reverend Sister Abducted in Awka
The Anambra State Police Command has confirmed the safe release of Jezco Oil Group chairman Chief J. J. Ezeokafor and a Reverend Sister who were abducted by armed criminals in Ifite-Awka. Police spokesperson SP Ikenga Tochukwu said both victims have returned safely. Authorities are gathering information from them to establish how they regained their freedom and identify those responsible. Commissioner of Police Nnanna Oji Ama has ordered an intensified intelligence-led operation and manhunt involving the police, DSS, military, NSCDC, Agunechemba operatives and other security agencies. Residents have been urged to remain vigilant and share credible information with security agencies.
