Discovering Heaven’s Open Doors in Times of Trouble
In moments of distress, heaven can seem far away. Yet Scripture shows us God is closer than we imagine. When Stephen was stoned, he saw the heavens open and the Son of Man at the Father’s right hand. In the wilderness, Jacob dreamed of a ladder stretching from earth to heaven, reminding him God was near. The psalmist declares that help comes from the LORD, Maker of heaven and earth. Our true citizenship is in heaven, where mercy flows from the throne of grace.
