Osun NYSC Closes 2026 Orientation Camp, Coordinator Charges Corps Members on Duty and Neutrality
The NYSC Osun State has formally closed the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Course at the permanent camp in Ede after a three-week programme. State Coordinator Mr. Ekeng Kubiangha praised the corps members for their discipline and active participation. He explained that drills, leadership training, security awareness lectures, civic education and the SAED programme were all designed to prepare them mentally, physically and emotionally for national service and entrepreneurship. Corps members were urged to report promptly to their Places of Primary Assignment, maintain punctuality, respect authority and pursue excellence. They were also encouraged to engage in Community Development Service projects to address local needs. On the forthcoming Osun gubernatorial election, participants were reminded to act as neutral, law-abiding ad-hoc electoral personnel. They were advised to use social media responsibly, stay security conscious, respect host communities and take advantage of post-camp training opportunities. The closing ceremony featured a donation of a new door to the OBS studio and awards for outstanding officers and collaborators.
