Why the Tail End of House of Assembly Road in New Owerri Is Still in Disrepair
I recently visited Owerri and was impressed by the road rehabilitation projects across New Owerri. However, the section just after the Udenwa Estate junction toward Ojukwu Library appears completely neglected. There are heaps of garbage piled along the roadside and deep potholes filled with muddy water. This sore spot stands in stark contrast to the newly refurbished stretches nearby. I’m not sure if this is due to political oversight or a simple miss, but the governor and the commissioner of works should inspect and extend the same level of attention to this area. It deserves the same upgrades as the rest of New Owerri.
