FCT CP Orders DPOs to Eradicate Robbery in Abuja Within Two Weeks
On Friday, the FCT Commissioner of Police met with seventeen Divisional Police Officers under the Metro Area Command to review Abuja’s security situation and tighten operational strategies. He highlighted rising incidents of traffic robbery, vehicle snatching at gunpoint, one-chance robberies, errant motorcyclists on major roads, vandalism, illegal highway parking, and severe congestion. He directed that these crimes must end within two weeks or the responsible officers will be replaced. The CP will personally oversee security in the city centre while the Area Commander leads metro operations. Residents are urged to support police efforts by sharing timely and credible information through established channels.
