Lagos Task Force Accuses Oba Kazeem Salami of Illegal Land Grabbing in Eti-Osa
The Lagos State Special Task Force on Land Grabbers has formally accused Oba Kazeem Adeshina Salami of forceful occupation of a 4.872-hectare property along the Lagos-Epe Expressway in Eti-Osa. In a petition referred to the Lagos State Police, counsel for Cosmopolitan Properties Limited cited a 1993 High Court auction sale and a surveyor-general’s report to confirm the company’s legal title. The task force said government records show the land was lawfully acquired and that continued occupation breaches the Lagos State Properties Protection Law. The agency has asked police to arrest and prosecute anyone unlawfully on the site. Oba Salami’s lawyers argue the dispute is before the courts and should not be pre-judged. A related case is pending at the Lagos High Court under Suit No. LD/4383LMW/2017.
