Purity in a World Focused on Appearances

Purity in a World Focused on Appearances

Purity is not the absence of temptation. It is the decision to remain faithful to God when compromise feels easier. Like a diamond formed under pressure before its brilliance appears, a pure life is refined through obedience, integrity and perseverance. While people may focus on outward appearance, God looks at the heart. Character lasts longer than charisma. Jesus said, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God” (Matthew 5:8). Just as clear water reflects the sky, a heart free from bitterness, hypocrisy and sin reflects Christ more clearly. Is purity still relevant today, or has society changed its meaning?

Small habits can help: set clear boundaries, reflect honestly on choices, and keep returning to the values you want to live by.
