When Keeping God’s Sabbath Leads to Persecution

When Keeping God’s Sabbath Leads to Persecution

The movement to enforce Sunday observance is growing bolder. Those who refuse to renounce their faith face fines, imprisonment, and temptations of power. Yet many stand firm, asking challengers to “show us from God’s word our error.” Their defense often leads others to embrace all of God’s commandments. Obedience to God’s law is labeled rebellion. Believing children may face harshness from unbelieving parents. Commandment-keeping servants may be oppressed. Friends and family ties can be broken, and some will suffer imprisonment or exile for their convictions. In these trials, believers often feel overwhelmed. They long for the strength they cannot muster alone. In their helplessness, they turn to God in prayer. Through faith, they find courage to continue their mission and bring light to those unaware of these truths.

How do others reconcile the push for Sunday observance with the risk of fines and imprisonment for firmness?

I feel this challenge too. Holding firm on Sabbath calls for deep trust, even when legal risk looms.

It's striking how coercion tactics can backfire, strengthening convictions rather than silencing dissent among Sabbath observers.

I'm not convinced that citing scripture alone will protect believers from legal penalties in all regions.

Consider forming local support networks for those facing fines, so you can share legal advice and moral encouragement.
