Iran Claims It Destroyed 11 US Aircraft During 15-Day Conflict
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has claimed that its forces destroyed 11 US aircraft and helicopters on the ground during a 15-day conflict between July 8 and July 22. An IRGC spokesman said the alleged losses included drones, an F-15 fighter jet, a P-8 maritime patrol aircraft, a C-17 transport aircraft and aerial refuelling planes. He did not identify the US bases where the strikes allegedly occurred. The spokesman also claimed Iranian attacks damaged radar systems, command centres, weapons depots, fuel facilities, missile platforms and aircraft hangars. He further alleged that more than 200 US service members were killed, and challenged US authorities to allow independent journalists access to the affected sites. The claims have not been independently verified.
