FG Approves Free CAC Registration for 250,000 MSMEs Across Nigeria

President Bola Tinubu has announced that the Federal Government will cover corporate registration fees for 250,000 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. The policy, unveiled during the 8th National MSME Awards in Abuja, aims to bring more businesses into the formal economy. Registered enterprises will gain easier access to banking services and government programmes. Applicants can register through the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria portal using #SMEDANGov. Beneficiaries will also receive business support and technical training. The initiative is a joint effort between the Corporate Affairs Commission and SMEDAN to reduce the high failure rate of small businesses nationwide.
