Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji has urged voters to remain calm after technical glitches disrupted accreditation and voting in some polling units during Saturday’s governorship election. Speaking after casting his vote at Polling Unit 003 in Ekiti West, he said INEC assured him that every eligible voter would be allowed to vote despite the delays. Biometric devices reportedly failed to capture certain voters, causing late starts in affected areas. Election officials and security agencies are working to resolve the issues and ensure that all accredited voters can exercise their democratic rights.
