Four Killed, Soldier Missing After Bandit Attack on Kebbi Community

Four Killed, Soldier Missing After Bandit Attack on Kebbi Community

Two forest guards and two residents were killed after bandits attacked farmers in Tudun Bicci, Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State. A soldier is also missing following the gun battle. The council chairman, Hussaini Aliyu Bena, said reports that a soldier was killed were incorrect. He said security operatives engaged the attackers, killing several of them while others escaped with gunshot wounds. He linked the recurring attacks and kidnappings in the area to bandit camps in neighbouring Zamfara and Niger states. He said the state government, local authorities and security agencies are working on measures to restore peace.

Authorities should prioritise locating the missing soldier, securing farming areas, and keeping residents informed with verified updates.
