Ebonyi Police Arrested After Allegedly Gouging Man’s Eye During Altercation
Ebonyi State Police Command has detained officers accused of assaulting Arinze Eze in Ishieke, Ohaukwu LGA. The clash reportedly occurred as Eze was returning to his hometown, Ngbo in Ohaukwu. A statement on July 7, 2026 confirmed that the identified officers have been arrested and transferred to the Command Headquarters. The State CID has begun a thorough and transparent investigation into the incident. The command extends its sympathies to the victim, who is receiving treatment at the Federal Teaching Hospital in Abakaliki.
