Tonto Dikeh Urges Empathy for Addicts: “Hate the Drug, Pray for the Soul Screaming for Help” — 1 of 2
1 / 2

Nollywood star Tonto Dikeh has opened up about her long struggle with addiction and called on the public to pray for those caught in its grip. She warned against hating the individuals behind the chaos, urging compassion for souls desperate for relief. Speaking from personal experience, Tonto revealed she began smoking at 13 under her father’s influence and battled that addiction for 27 years. She also wrestled with alcoholism, compulsive behaviours, and even involvement in a cult before finding her way back. In a recent gospel ministration in Tanzania, she described how God heard her silent cries and rewrote her comeback. Her message is clear: hate the drugs, not the addict, because no soul is beyond redemption.
