South African star Dricus Du Plessis says he’s ready to return, but he claims his next opponent hasn’t signed on the dotted line. He took to Instagram to suggest that someone verbally agreed to fight but is dragging their feet on the contract. Rumours have linked him to former UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman for the July 18 headline at UFC Oklahoma City. Du Plessis hasn’t competed since losing his middleweight title to Khamzat Chimaev last August, but he remains in the title picture after wins over Israel Adesanya, Robert Whittaker and Sean Strickland. Usman, fresh off a unanimous decision win over Joaquin Buckley, has yet to respond publicly. Fans are still waiting on the promotion to make it official.
