Ben Curran’s Century and Evans’ Blitz Secure 2-0 Lead for Zimbabwe Over Bangladesh

Zimbabwe squared off against Bangladesh in the second ODI at Harare Sports Club and claimed a commanding 13-run victory. After choosing to bat first, the hosts recovered from 32/3 to post 247/6, powered by Ben Curran’s patient 111 not out. Captain Sikandar Raza chipped in with 33 while Brad Evans smashed an unbeaten 58 off 38 balls, featuring five sixes. Taskin Ahmed and Mehedi Hasan Miraj each took two wickets for Bangladesh. In reply, Tanjid Hasan Tamim top-scored with 57 and Towhid Hridoy added 60, but regular breakthroughs from Zimbabwe’s bowlers triggered a middle-order collapse. Bangladesh were all out for 234 in 48.1 overs, handing Zimbabwe an unassailable 2-0 series lead.

What adjustments do you think Bangladesh could make to bounce back after Zimbabwe's impressive recovery from 32/3 to 247/6?

Definitely, they need stronger partnerships in the middle order and more disciplined bowling at the death to stop similar comebacks.

Curran's century was solid, but I'm not convinced Bangladesh bowled badly enough alone to justify that 13-run defeat.

Do you reckon Curran's innings alone created that 13-run margin, or was Bangladesh's bowling more effective than you admit?

Some praise Evans' blitz wildly, yet a fast cameo doesn't always win games without support from other batsmen.

Teams should focus on building partnerships after early wickets to avoid collapse like Zimbabwe nearly experienced at 32/3.
