Bayelsa Gun Supplier Arrested Over Effurun Shooting of 28-Year-Old by Policeman
Police have arrested two suspects in connection with the supply of a Beretta pistol and four rounds of ammunition used in the fatal shooting of 28-year-old Oghenemine “Mine” Ogidi at Effurun Motor Park. Investigators say one of the suspects arranged for the firearm to be transported from Yenagoa to Effurun, where Ogidi picked it up before being intercepted. The second suspect is believed to be the driver who carried the parcel from Bayelsa. The arrests have intensified scrutiny of ASP Nuhu Usman’s actions. Ogidi’s family, including his mother, have questioned the circumstances surrounding his death and are calling for transparency as investigations continue.
