Former Kaduna Central Senator Shehu Sani has joked that the long-running political feud between former President Olusegun Obasanjo and former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar may only end when one of them is no longer alive. Sani said the dispute began when members of Generation Z were still in school and has continued through their adulthood. He added that the surviving figure may eventually offer the other a glowing tribute. The remark follows Obasanjo’s recent claim that choosing Atiku as his running mate in 1999 was his biggest mistake in office. Atiku has also repeatedly criticised his former principal and revisited longstanding political disagreements.
