Enugu Approves Land for ITF Digital Fabrication Centre
Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah has approved land in Enugu for the Industrial Training Fund to establish a Digital Fabrication Centre. The proposed centre is expected to support skills training in areas such as artificial intelligence, robotics and computer-aided manufacturing. It will also aim to help artisans gain internationally recognised training, certification and licences through the ITF’s Skill-Up Artisans programme. Mbah said the project aligns with the state’s push for technical education, digital literacy and youth employment. The ITF said a similar centre in Ikeja, Lagos, can produce more than 400 products, and that the Enugu facility could support local manufacturing, innovation and reduced reliance on imports.
