Six Killed, Others Injured as Bandits Raid Sabon Garin Pali, Bauchi
Armed bandits launched a late-night attack on Sabon Garin Pali in Alkaleri LGA, Bauchi State on Sunday, April 5, 2026. Residents were asleep when the gunmen stormed the village, firing sporadically and moving from house to house. Villagers say the attackers searched for money and killed six people without warning. Several others were wounded and a number of residents were abducted during the more than two-hour rampage. No security operatives arrived to intervene. The next day, the community gathered for funeral prayers led by the Chief Imam in front of the Village Head’s palace. The victims were then laid to rest at the local burial ground with neighbours in attendance.
