Maiduguri Honors Fallen Brigadier General Omo Braimah and Soldiers Killed in Boko Haram Attack
On April 15, Maiduguri held a solemn ceremony at Maimalari Cantonment Cemetery to lay to rest Brigadier General Omo Braimah, Captain Ismail and other soldiers killed in a Boko Haram attack on a military formation in Kaga Local Government Area. Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, Defence Minister General Christopher Musa (rtd), the Chief of Defence Staff, the Chief of Army Staff and other senior officers gathered to pay tribute. Prayers were offered and citations detailing each soldier’s service were read before their next of kin. Speakers described the fallen as true patriots whose sacrifice secures the nation’s peace. Their bravery was hailed as an enduring inspiration and a stark reminder of the cost of safeguarding Nigeria’s unity and security.
