PDP South East Zone Elects New Executives at Enugu ‘Odera 2027’ Congress
The Peoples Democratic Party South East Zone held its “Odera 2027” congress in Enugu on March 21, 2026. Zonal Publicity Secretary Emmanuel Ugbana described the exercise as transparent and fully compliant with party and federal laws. He noted that critics were silenced by the process. The congress also invalidated a rival group’s claim to leadership, ending the legal dispute and paving the way for unified leadership ahead of the 2027 elections. Ray Nnaji was elected National Vice Chairman (South East), Mike Ahumire became Zonal Secretary, and Emeka Okeke took office as Zonal Treasurer. Other officers include Nsorom Nnamdi in finance, Emmanuel O. Ekuma in organisation, Ukpai Ukpairo in legal affairs, Uju Onyia as Women Leader, and Godswill N. as Youth Leader.
