Osun 2026: How EC8A Tracking Reflected Adeleke’s Victory Over Oyebamiji

On election day, Smart ElectionGuard Pro tracked uploaded EC8A result forms from Osun’s 3,763 polling units. The aim was to follow the verification chain from polling units through wards and LGAs to the final statewide result. Early results showed APC ahead, but the picture changed as more polling-unit results became available. Adeleke closed the gap, moved ahead and widened his lead as reporting approached completion. By midnight, with about 94–95% of polling units reporting, the platform showed Adeleke leading. INEC’s final declared result gave Adeleke 511,067 votes to Oyebamiji’s 444,815, a margin of 66,252 votes. Although I supported APC, I continued publishing the changing results. The experience showed that election monitoring should follow the evidence, even when the outcome does not favour one’s preferred candidate.

Tracking uploaded forms is useful, but the title sounds more conclusive than the brief description explains.

A clear breakdown by polling unit, ward, LGA, and statewide totals would help readers compare each stage calmly.
