FG Introduces Digital Export Permits, Strengthens Local Drug Production

FG Introduces Digital Export Permits, Strengthens Local Drug Production

The Federal Government has begun digitalising export permits to streamline trade and attract more investment. Officials met with the Oil Producers Trade Section (OPTS) to outline a transparent, efficient framework for exporters. In a follow-up session, the PPP Steering Committee discussed optimising national assets through public-private partnerships. The focus was on infrastructure upgrades and sustainable growth. Finally, government representatives held talks with Barbados Pharmaceuticals and AMA Medical Manufacturing. They explored expanding local drug production to boost health security and reduce import dependence. These initiatives form part of the FG’s push for economic diversification, industrial growth and long-term self-reliance.
