US-Based Medical Mission to Cover All South-East States in 2026
Lifted Hands, a US-based medical outreach founded by the Okaro family in memory of their late mother, will expand its 2026 free healthcare program to all five South-East states, adding Enugu and Ebonyi to Anambra, Imo and Abia. Since its launch in 2020, the mission has provided general consultations, dental care, eye surgeries, mental health services and selected surgical procedures. This July, over 80 volunteer doctors and nurses will also distribute medical equipment like wheelchairs, glucometers and other relief materials. Beyond clinical care, the team will offer scholarships and hand out school supplies, clothing and footwear to underprivileged children and adults. Volunteers are invited to contribute medical services and support the relaunch of Ogidi General Hospital for improved community healthcare. Anyone interested in joining or donating to this humanitarian effort can contact the organizers to help bring medical relief to underserved areas.
